Code of Conduct for Students

  1. He or she shall be regular in class, submit assignments regularly, and complete his or her studies at the college.
  2. All students must uphold academic respect for all persons, their rights and property, the safety of others, etc.
  3. He or she must carry the identity card issued by the college.
  4. He or she should not park a vehicle in a no-parking zone.
  5. He or she is forbidden from smoking on the campus of the college.
  6. He or she should not indulge in any act of discrimination (physical or verbal conduct) based on an individual’s gender, caste, race, religion or religious beliefs, color, region, language, disability, marital or family status, physical or mental disability, gender identity, etc.
  7. He or she should not misbehave during any activity at the college.
  8. He or she should not indulge in any disruptive activity in a classroom or at an event sponsored by the college.
  9. Cheating and copying during examinations are forbidden.
  10. All the students are informed that ragging is a crime. So they should not be involved in any act of ragging, such as the use of spoken or written words, or any act that has the effect of teasing, treating, or handling any student with rudeness.
  11. All the students are informed that they should not be involved in acts of sexual harassment, which encompass a range of conduct, including sexual assault, unwanted touching or persistent unwelcome comments, emails, or pictures of an insulting or degrading sexual nature, etc.
  12. Any student of the college aggrieved by any acts of sexual harassment or ragging can approach the Student Grievance Redressal Cell at the college.
  13. He or she must complete an internship, fieldwork, or industrial visit if required, as per NEP 2020.

Collaboration with parents and guardians is essential for a holistic approach to student development.

  2. Teachers are expected to communicate with students, colleagues, and staff in a respectful and courteous manner, fostering an environment of open dialogue and collaboration.

  5. Upholding academic honesty, teachers are responsible for discouraging plagiarism, cheating, and any form of academic misconduct and must take appropriate action when such incidents occur.
  6. Teachers should actively engage in promoting the academic and personal development of their students, providing guidance and support for their success.
  7. To stay current with advancements in their field, teachers must engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance their knowledge and teaching methodologies.
  8. Teachers must respect the confidentiality of student information, refrain from sharing sensitive details without proper authorization, and maintain privacy in all matters.
  9. Ensuring the physical and emotional safety of students is paramount, and teachers are responsible for addressing any instances of bullying, harassment, or discrimination promptly and effectively.
  10. Teachers must familiarize themselves with and adhere to all college policies, including those related to attendance, grading, and academic conduct, to ensure consistency and fairness.
  11. Teachers should strive to make their courses accessible to all students, accommodating diverse learning styles and providing reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities.

Code of Conduct for Principal

The principal is expected to lead with the highest ethical standards, demonstrating integrity, honesty, and transparency in all professional dealings, and serving as a role model for staff and students.

  1. The principal should develop and communicate a clear and strategic vision for the college, involving stakeholders in the planning process, and guiding the institution towards continuous improvement and excellence.
  2. The principal is responsible for maintaining open and effective communication channels within the college community, ensuring that information is disseminated promptly and accurately to staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders.
  3. Upholding academic standards, the principal must work to foster an environment that encourages high-quality teaching and learning, supports faculty in their professional development, and promotes innovative educational practices.
  4. The principal should responsibly manage the college's resources, including financial, human, and physical assets, to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the institution.
  5. The principal is tasked with addressing conflicts and disputes within the college community in a fair and impartial manner, promoting a harmonious and collaborative environment.
  6. By actively engaging with the community, the principal should establish and maintain positive relationships with local businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations, fostering partnerships that contribute to the college's success and community development.

Code of Conduct for Administrative/Support

  1. Perform the highest possible work culture in their professional behavior.
  2. Cooperate with their colleagues, providing support, help, and guidance as and when required.
  3. Use their skills and show efficiency to the advantage of the institute.
  4. Attend professional development programs and training.
  5. Attend their duty hours punctually.
  6. Give prior notice or sanction the leave in case of absence.
  7. Maintain confidentiality in professional-related matters.
  8. Assistance in all internal and university assessments, exams, and tests.
  9. Fairly and properly concerning confidentiality and security.
